So last night someone tried to break into my house....

I was an idiot, thinking it was my roommate Sean, and I went over to unlock the door for him, like I do everyday.  I started unlocking the door, because someone was jiggling the handle, and they pushed in, smacked me right in the face with the door and proceeded to attempt to come in.  I pushed back and they smacked me again in the face.  Finally I got the door shut and locked, double locked and then triple locked the dang thing.  So I had the regular lock, deadbolt and chain on it.

 

Here it was a homeless guy, one of the ones who hangs out by WOWK station in the dumpster.  I assume he was looking for a place to stay that was warm... but dang.  He hit me HARD in the face.  My eye started swelling up and now the lovely beginnings of a bruise are in the works.

Called Lenny FREAKING out.  Told me to call the cops.

What the hell can the cops do?  I told them what happened and they just said to lock my door, not be alone and they would see what was going on.

Apparently the guy had tried to get into a few other houses.

Makes me so sad, he was probably FREEZING and hungry... last night was pretty chilly. 

*sigh*

I hate Huntington even more now.

Anyone know where I should go after May?  I really can't wait to leave once I graduate from this place.

A little help?  Suggestions?  Anybody?
